Terms and Conditions

Please see below our standard terms and conditions.


Once a booking has been made The Little Prop Shed will invoice the customer. On payment of the deposit the customer agrees and accepts to the following terms and conditions:

Minimum Order

If you are collecting and dropping back to us, there is no minimum order. If you require delivery and collection the minimum order is £75.00 and excludes delivery and collection cost.

Hire Period

Hire period is 72 hours, a longer hire period can be discussed in advance and priced accordingly. The hire period begins once the customer has signed for items, on delivery or collection from our base at Milstead.


A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm any order. The balance must be paid 4 weeks prior to the hire date. A security deposit will also be required prior to hire date, this is 50% of the total hire cost.The security deposit will be returned to the customer via bank transfer within 7 days of items return date, once it is agreed that all  hire items have been returned and not damaged (see below).

Damaged/broken/lost or stolen

If any hired items are damaged/broken/lost or stolen the replacement cost will be deducted from the security deposit. If greater than security deposit the customer will be invoiced for the outstanding balance and payment must be made to The Little Prop Shed within 7 days.

Set Up

The customer is responsible for setting up any hired items, unless prior arrangements have been made for The Little Prop Shed to set up.


All cancellations must be made in writing. If the full balance has been paid, we will retain the initial 30% non-refundable deposit and the remaining amount will be re-paid. However, if you cancel within 30 days of hire date, the full amount will be retained.


The items hired are the responsibility of the customer from the time delivery/customer collecting has been taken to the time items have been collected by The Little Prop Shed/returned by customer to our base in Milstead.The Little Prop Shed accepts no responsibility for hired items causing injury to any person, object or premises during the hire period.


All items remain in the ownership of The Little Prop Shed, however during the hire period the customer is responsible for looking after hired items . Ensuring items are treated with respect, retained in a secure place, kept dry and packed in original packaging from The Little Prop Shed. If original packaging is not returned, the customer will be charged for replacement. All hired items must be packed and ready to go at the agreed collection time and all debris and liquids removed and rinsed prior to packaging.

Health and Safety

Some of The Little Prop Shed’s hire items are vintage, rustic and antique and there may be rusted metals, nails and splinters. Please take care when moving any of our hire items to ensure your own health and safety, it is also your responsibility to make your guests aware of their health and safety. In the event of any injury or damages, The Little Prop Shed can not take any responsibility or liability for this.
